This course covers discussing what a medicine is and what medicine management involves, establishing the legislation that underpins medication management, identifying the relevant documentation surrounding medicines, recognizing the rights, routes, forms and complications of medication, explaining what therapeutic range means and why it is important, distinguishing major adverse drug reactions and what actions to take, identifying risks related to medication management, evaluating risks, errors and omission of medication management, and determining correct reporting and escalation procedures.
